Well, here we go! It is that time. Time to prepare my heart for 20-25 sweet souls that will be occupying this classroom. I have already started praying for them and praying that I will be just the teacher they need! I have poured my heart into this classroom and having it ready for my sweet kids. I am excited to share it with you guys!

Disclaimer: It does not matter how expensive or “fancy” your classroom is for your students. They DO. NOT. CARE. Do they think certain things are cool? Sure! But they want to be loved and taught. I never lost sight of this when preparing my room. So please do not lose sight of it when all of the “classroom reveals” start going live.

Let’s go!
One part of my room I am very passionate about is my classroom library. Since this photo, I have obviously added many more books. I do love these READ letters though. They are battery operated and add a little flair to the classroom library. This year, I am doing flexible seating for reading time. I bought two stools and three cushions. You can see the cushions in the basket on the right side of the picture. The rug is from Target!

I also added a stage to my room this year (thanks to my sweet hubby.) This is not a must, obviously. I love to have my students share their writings though, this will be a great place for that. We will also use this for book talks.
Loving the orange walls? lol. Me too. Not. This adorable alphabet is from Confetti and Creativity!

This rug has been very popular on social media since I posted it. I love it! I think it is perfect for Farmhouse Decor.

I grabbed it from Amazon, you can grab it HERE.

I used to have a clip chart that worked like this, but I loved these lights I found on Etsy. I would link the lady, but she has shut her store down temporarily. However, I just searched “tap lights for classroom” on Etsy and found a ton of them!

Then, after over an HOUR, I finally got my sections taped off for my objectives. I will not lie, this was not easy to do by myself. If you try it, do it when someone can stand at the back and tell you if the tape is straight. This is just Washi Tape. So far, so good! You can also see one of my flexible seating stools in the picture.

Most Anchor Charts, I do WITH my students. However, I put these Classroom Management ones up early so we could start off on the first day with these!

This is my supply section for my pencils. This three pail set is at Wal-Mart for $5! The THRIVE planters were found at TJ Maxx. Labels can be found HERE.

Oh, those fast-finishers. 🙂 I love them but they stress me out sometimes. Not this year, I am prepared! lol. If you want to know more about this, go check out my Enrichment Corner blog post! If you want to USE Enrichment Corner, it can be found HERE. You will notice, I did not use the crate method this year. I liked this idea better. 🙂 The wood paper is from Amazon.

This is where we get a little extra. The Keurig and Printer…not necessary. However, with my schedule and how early I have to get to school…this works best for me! The REWARDS jar will be used with the Enrichment Corner.

This area is still a work in progress until I get all of my teacher binders up to the school. Eeek. But this is my teacher area. It is behind my small group table and my teacher desk. Check out this blog post see how I am using the Substitute Caddie.

I have this on my board. We will keep track of the books we have read. We are doing the 180 book challenge this year, this will be a great way to mark how many we have read.

Here is more of my orange wall for you. 🙂 I use the M Tu W Th F bins for all of my copies for the week. That way each day, I just grab what we are doing. I include read-alouds and EVERYTHING for that day. The bins were in the Target dollar spot!

I forgot to take a picture of these on the desks. I love these caddies though. The labels are from Confetti and Creativity! The burlap and caddies are from Amazon.

And that is that! My little cuties came up to see my room today! They loved it! It makes me excited. I hope my 4th grader love it too! (I blurred my son’s shirt because it has our town and his Scout Pack number on it.) Safety and such.
I still have a few odds and ends to do. I need to do numbers on the cubbies and desks. A border here and there…etc. But, it is just about done!

I am so far from perfect. I know there will be mistakes made this year. I know I will learn and grow like I always do. I also know I have the most amazing team, principal and students in the entire world. Therefore, I am praying for a wonderful year full of smiles, learning, and the Lord’s guidance for all of us in this classroom!
Have a great start everyone! Strap in, it is almost here! 🙂

oh my goodness, it is so amazing I don’t even know where to begin!! The cursive rug is probably my favorite thing ever and alllll the details, just so beautiful. The theme was carried out thoughtfully and your students are going to LOVE IT! Your hubby did an awesome job crafting the stage, such a fun idea!! You make me want to teach elementary school. 🙂 I am excited for you, and sad that my days won’t be full of Marco Polo videos to and from you. You are an inspiration to so many and I am proud to call you my friend. 🙂
Love It! Do you have a blog post where you explain the new way you set up your Enrichment Corner since you’re not using the crates? & what rewards are in the jar.
